Happy Friday! We just love this fun and bright collection that arrived today.
Jenn Ski's Mod Century for Moda is a modern twist on the style of the '50s and '60s. The different fabrics compliment each other beautifully, so this is a great collection for quilts, bedding, and decorative projects.

Buggy Barn Yarn Dyed Fabrics
We're mad for plaid this week! We received a huge shipment of Yarn Dyed fabrics from Buggy Barn for Henry Glass. More are on the way, too - this was only half the collection!
The patterns in this fabric are woven from colored thread; they're not printed on the fabric. This gives it a fabulous feeling and drape. You have to come see them in person!
Henry Glass & Co. has a free pattern for a quilt and table runner using this line on their website. Here is a link to the PDF (or click on the pattern photo)!

Fabric for YOU
Maybe it's all for you, but the newest fabrics that have arrived at StitchCraft have a quilting and sewing theme.
Color Trends for 2013
Pantone (color 'authority' in many industries) has come out with their 2013 'trends' list.
So, quilters, what do you see? Pretty colors, a bit softer than previous 'brights'. I see some of the Thirties fabrics colors coming back! That grayed jade color reminds me of the popular color we see in many of the vintage or reproduction quilts. Thoughts? Do quilters even care about trends? What colors are you loving right now?

Craft Challenge Reception - Sept. 14, 2012
If you're in the area tomorrow (Friday, September 14), please consider coming by StitchCraft between 4 and 6 PM for a reception to celebrate everyone who participated in our Annual Craft Challenge! The judge's prizes will be announced, and we would love your input for a Viewer's Choice Award.
This year's challenge was to create anything using Robert Kaufman's "Writer's Block" fabric. There were so many creative and unique entries that we set up a gallery in our classroom to show off everyone's incredible talents. If you can't make it tomorrow but would still like to see the Challenge projects, the gallery will be up for a couple of weeks and you are welcome to visit any time the shop is open (Mon-Sat 10-5)!

We now have Jay McCarroll's latest fabric Center City in stock! Each print is inspired by a U.S. city. We have Miami, Boston, Palm Springs, and Portland in the Midtown colorway (shown below). Can you guess which fabric matches which city?
Also, did you know we are working on a new website that will have online shopping capabilities? In the meantime, if you ever want us to ship anything to you, just give us a call at (561) 447-4147!
